What’s going on: IIM Mumbai kicks off UG courses

It will offer its program from its new satellite campus in Pune and the first batch is likely to start in July 2026. They plan to offer a 4 year bachelor of science in Digital Sciences and Business Management.

What is left now? Let me tell you some more facts. The name of the program is B.S. in Digital Sciences and Business Management. The duration of the program is 4 years. It is a standalone undergraduate degree. The first batch is expected to launch in July 2026. The program will be offered from its Pune Satellite Campus in Pune. Once the infrastructure is ready, the UG program may expand to the main campus. The curriculum will focus on Data Science, AI, blockchain, automation, analytics etc. The students pursuing B.S. in Digital Sciences and Business Management will have great opportunity in Digital Business roles like analytics, product/project management, operations and other exciting future based requirement fields. It is observed that admissions may use scores from exams like JEE main. The estimated fee is around INR 6-8 lakhs per year. However, official fees will be announced later.
What Questions Should You Keep an Eye On:
Since this is the first time IIM Mumbai is launching this course, so there are many things which IIM Mumbai has yet not confirmed. I am going to tell all those pieces of information which are not clear yet.
Few things about the program are still tentative and under regulatory review.
- It is not yet confirmed whether JEE main will be compulsory for a student to attempt to get admission in to this program of IIM Mumbai.
- The detailed fee structure is not out yet. The fee structure may change for batches in future.
- We still do not know about the number of students they will be taking in one batch. The number of students to be admitted in first and subsequent batches is not yet officially confirmed.
- Since the first batch starts at Satellite Campus (Pune), the students who want to get in to this course need to keep an eye on hostel, facilities and other logistics.
- Full syllabus and subject wise curriculum is still need to be finalised.
- Whether there will be any support like scholarships or financial aid for meritorious or economically weaker students or not will be confirmed later.
