CAT 2025 FORM FILLING
CAT aspirants! Are you ready to fill in the application form? That is great! But before you sit to fill in the application form, take care of these documents and make sure they are ready with you beforehand, So that you don’t need to rush and search for these. After you see these documents, we have mentioned in this article, step by step process of registering for CAT and then filling up the CAT application form. In fact, this article also talks about any problem which you might face and other things to consider while registering and fill in the CAT application form. STEP BY STEP PROCESS
- Go to https://iimcat.ac.in/
- Tab New candidate registration.
- Read the instructions on the pop window carefully. Click close after reading. There is another pop up window which gives the privacy notice. Read it carefully , and click I agree.
- After you click agree, there will be a page visible to you which shows instructions. Read all the instructions carefully. When you scroll down, you get to register, which includes :
Name of the candidate , D.O.B., your valid and active Email address, Confirm Email address, Name of the country you live in, your valid mobile number , confirm your mobile number. After you have filled in all the details, click the tab Generate OTP. Then it will ask you to write the captcha image, and then submit. Once you submit, you are going to receive OTP on your mobile number and Email id .
- The next pop up window will ask you to use the OTPs received. Please note that the OTPs for mobile number and e mail id will be different.
- After filling in the OTPs , you click validate OTP.
- Then click I agree at the bottom left corner of the page and then click confirm. Once you do, the next page will show the filled up entries of what you have, they ask you to check the information once again. If the information you enter is correct, click the check box given on the right hand side of each category. Enter Captcha. The alert window will pop up. Click ok and move ahead. Another window will pop up which says registration successful. They have sent the user name and password now. So you can login through user name and password provided to them, or you can continue from here itself.
- Click Go to Application tab at the right side of the page. Please watch the video (you tube link) to collect the important documents you should have before hand, so that you don’t have to rush here and there to find your marksheet, photo etc, in the middle of form filling.
Next, you have to fill in the details under tabs like : Personal details, Academics, Work experience, Programmes, Test city, Declaration.
- Personal Details will include : Candidate’s name, Candidate’s first name, Candidate’s middle name (not mandatory) , Candidate’s last name, father’s/guardian’s name , Mother’s/ Guardian’s name, Spouse’s name. Other personal, details will include D.O.B. , Gender, Nationality, Category. The category will include general, EWS, NC OBC, SC, ST. Please note that there is no category specifically given for OBC. It is only for NC OBC. So if you belong to OBC, please click general. There is certificate for each category. You should have that certificate. Please note that these certificates have expiry dates , so please check that. If it is under renewal, then you should have the affidavit.
- Then fill in your communication details. i.e. Address and emergency contact name and number.
IMPORTANT: Upload scanned copy of passport size photograph. (Please upload photograph: maximum 1 MB only and in JPEG format only.) Then, upload the scanned copy of your signature. (maximum 80 KB and in JPEG, format)
Upload the certificate if you belong to any category from EWS, SC, ST or NC OBC.
- Then you fill in the academic details. Marks of your 10th, 12th (percentage or CGPA),(You have an option of selecting promoted if you have got promoted during Covid) graduation if you have completed or in case you have also done PG.
- Please note that the work experience (Please check what all work experience will be counted) details have to be filled in the reverse chronological order. First will be your latest work details (start date and end date).
- The next tab will be for Programmes.
Select all, because there are various programmes, you should not regret later if you miss selecting any programme. However, remember to uncheck too. (Please watch our form filling video on ////link>>> for the detailed form filling session and for practical experience.) Along with that, keep selecting the interview city preference.
- The next tab you move is the Test City. Be careful to select the city. There will be 5 preferences. Select the cities which are easy for you to reach, familiar, easy to stay etc.
Boom! We are almost towards the completion….The declaration page and payment is here. But before that, it recommended to click preview so that you can check all your details whether you have selected correct or not.
- PAY and you are done.
